Spelling, High-Frequency Words, & Amazing Words
Each week you will have a new spelling word list and vocabulary word list. I will update list each week! Spelling Homework will be due on Fridays but you should be working on homework each night for studying. You will have a Spelling Test every Friday. Below are the lists:

In first grade you will have a daily writing journal to put your thoughts onto paper. You will learn how to write strong and meaningful sentences. You will learn to write an exciting story that will leave your readers wanting more! If you have an opinion on something, you get to tell me in your writing! Finally, you will learn how to construct a paragraph based off of your research!

The most important thing you can do to help your child in math this year is to focus on mastering all addition and subtraction facts as quickly as possible! We will be learning addition and subtraction strategies, time, and money. Some ways to practice - timed tests, flash cards, math games!
